Under the direction of Mr. Kamel Boudjit, Director of the National Higher School of Autonomous Systems Technology, the Secretary General, Mr. Fateh Toufiq, assigned this morning a team from the Service of Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities to attend the coordination meeting aimed at organizing the launch of the University Team Sports Championships of the Wilaya of Algiers for the 2025–2026 academic sports season.
This meeting of the University Sports Events Organizing Committee was held at University of Algiers 1, under the supervision of its Director, Mr. Amar Hiyahom, and brought together most representatives of the Sports Activities Departments of higher education institutions and their respective services.
The meeting focused on defining the organizational aspects related to the participation of university teams in various team sports disciplines — football, handball, basketball, and volleyball — for both male and female students. Team participation was confirmed pending the draw to establish the final competition schedule.
This meeting contributed to the development of university sports and helped strengthen the sense of belonging and competitive spirit among students within the higher education institutions of Algiers.
