As part of strengthening the innovation ecosystem and supporting scientific research in Algeria, a cooperation agreement was signed on March 9, 2026, between our institution, the National Higher School of Autonomous Systems Technology (NHSAST), led by its Director, Professor Kamal Boujit, and the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI), represented on behalf of the Director General by Mr. Youcef Ziane, Director of Patents. The agreement provides for the establishment of a Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC / CATI) at our school’s headquarters, located in the Martyr Abdelhafid Ihaddaden Scientific and Technological Hub in Sidi Abdellah, Algiers.

This agreement aims to enable researchers, faculty members, and students to access specialized technological information resources, particularly patent databases, thereby contributing to the development of scientific research, fostering innovation, and enhancing technology transfer.

The Technology and Innovation Support Center will offer a range of services, including assisting researchers in conducting technological searches, providing information on the latest technical developments across various fields, raising awareness about the importance of protecting innovations through industrial property rights, and contributing to the valorization of research outcomes by linking them with the economic and industrial sectors.

Furthermore, this center will allow our institution to integrate as a member within the national network of Technology and Innovation Support Centers (CATI), which includes:

• The coordination and facilitation center: (CATI–INAPI)
• Centers established within institutions and industrial groups: (Institutional CATI)
• Centers located within universities and research centers: (University CATI)

This integration will promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise, thereby contributing to the advancement of a knowledge-based economy.

The signing of this agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering an innovation-friendly environment within academic institutions and strengthening their role in knowledge and technology production, in alignment with national development objectives.
