As part of promoting academic openness and embedding a culture of quality within higher education institutions, Professor Kamal Boujit, Director of the National Higher School of Autonomous Systems Technology (NHSAST), inaugurated the second awareness meeting entitled: “Quality Management System According to ISO 9001:2015 and Its Application in Higher Education Institutions.”

The event featured valuable scientific contributions delivered by a distinguished panel of experts, as follows:

• Dr. Omar Haroun (Deputy Director for Evaluation and Quality Assurance) presented: “Quality Strategy in the Higher Education and Scientific Research Sector and the ISO 9001 Framework.”
• Mr. Karim Kiyard (Consultant) delivered a talk on: “A Field Experience in Obtaining ISO 9001:2015 Certification for a Higher Education Institution in Algeria.”
• Dr. Fatima Nibouche (National Polytechnic School) discussed: “ISO 9001:2015 in Universities: Institutional Challenges and Opportunities for Quality Improvement.”

The presentations focused on several key themes, including:

• The importance of adopting quality management systems to enhance institutional performance.
• The role of good governance and strategic planning in achieving academic excellence.
• Aligning university education with labor market needs and improving graduate employability.
• The use of performance indicators and continuous improvement mechanisms to develop pedagogical and administrative services.

This meeting provided a valuable opportunity for faculty members, staff, and administrative executives to engage in constructive discussions on ways to develop our young institution and strengthen its competitiveness at both national and international levels.

At the conclusion of the event, Professor Kamal Boujit awarded certificates of participation and appreciation to the speakers, in recognition of their valuable scientific contributions and their role in enriching this academic gathering.
