Biography

Professor Rabia Yekken is a teacher-researcher in the field of theoretical physics and mathematical physics. Affiliated with the Faculty of Physics of the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB) in Algiers, she defended a Magister thesis in theoretical physics on atomic and nuclear collisions in the framework of time-independent mean field theory (TIMF).

She then carried out her teaching and research activities at the same university (USTHB) where she pursued a scientific career dedicated to the study of complex quantum systems to obtain, in 2009, her Doctorate in Science.

Her thesis work focuses on theoretical and fundamental topics of modern physics related to the inverse problem based on the reconstruction of potentials from spectra of bound states as well as to energy-dependent potentials whose study of the nonlinearity induced by these potentials requires new standard rules of quantum mechanics. Focusing her research on mathematical physics and analytical methods for solving the Schrödinger equation, she studied quantum systems to obtain her university habilitation in 2014.

During her scientific career, Professor Yekken has developed a recognized expertise in several research themes, including: quantum mechanics and its applications, energy-dependent potentials, quantum supersymmetry (SUSY-QM), molecular potentials applied to diatomic systems. She has been actively involved in university training and has participated in the supervision of master's theses, doctoral theses and the training of new generations of physicists.

Since 2025, she has been working at the National Higher School of Autonomous Systems Technology (NHSAST) as a professor, bringing the basics of fundamental physics to future engineers in advanced technologies and autonomous systems.
